Dying Light 2 Stay Human UV Flashlight Guide

In the world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human the most dangerous Infected enemies need to stay away from the sun and UV lamps which will cause them to burn and die if that light shines on them. It is because of this that safe zones constantly have UV lamps switched on. This means an essential tool you will want to get hold of as soon as possible is the UV Flashlight which you can take with you when you leave a safe zone and go exploring Villedor and the Central Loop. This UV Flashlight Guide tells you how to get it and also how to upgrade it.

How to Unlock the UV Flashlight

The UV Flashlight is considered the best defensive tool in Dying Light 2 Stay Human as it is capable of keeping Volities, the most dangerous enemies in the game at bay. Volitiles are extremely fast and one hit from them will kill Aiden. You will not be able to equip the UV Flashlight to fend these creatures off until the 'Welcome On Board' story mission which can takes place 12-15 hours into the game. Aiden will receive the UV Flashlight from Meyer when he is onboard a ship called 'The Missy' which is the Peacekeepers HQ and is located in The Wharf area.

How to Upgrade the UV Flashlight

There are six Nightrunner tools in Dying Light 2 Stay Human and the UV Flashlight is one of them. Nightrunner tools never break and do not need to be repaired but some of them need stamina or to recharge. The UV Flashlight falls under the recharge category as its battery depletes as you use it. Upgrades for the UV Flashlight to make it more useful can be purchased from a Craftmaster, these upgrades are:

Cone Size and Battery:

Purchased for 1000 Old World Money and 2x Military Tech.

Increased Cone Size and Flash Effect:

Purchased for 2000 Old World Money and 2x Military Tech.

Take a look at our Military Tech Guide to find out how you can get more of this essential resource that can be used to upgrade the UV Flashlight.
