Where is the underwater submarine that I have to go to to get into the sootopolis gym

Well, beofre you go hunting after the underwater submarine right after it is stolen from Slateport City, I have to ask you a question. Did you go to Lilycove City and defeat all of the Team Aqua members inside their secret hideout? I am asking because if you have not gone into the hideout, then I suggest that you go do so now. You see, you are supposed to clear that base out first, but, there is also a Masterball that you can get down there. After you do that, I think that you will find the cave with the Submarine inside of it if you go underwater a little bit south of Mossdeep City. It is not that hard to spot, so just keep looking around there, and around Route 128. Hope this helps.

You need to have a Pokémon that have surf and go to Route 128 and you'll see a deep surface then press A. Steven will give you a HM DIVE. He's on his house (Mossdeep City) You must go to every house you see to find Steven or just open the house in the top left corner . I have found it but I don't how to return it.

Rout 128. Go south a little from mossdeep and dive.
Then keep going south under water untill you see a cave.

I was in the cave and after getting past all the obstacles Team Aqua was not there. does that mean i havent defeted them at Lilycove City? I am pretty sure that I have ... (team aqua has taken the submarine by the way)

I have all the gym badges does this mean that I have defeted Team Aqua? I havent found the submarine they stole, but I know where it is supposed to be.

You can't get all the gym badges before you have found the submarine. You need to find the submarine to access the 8th gym after going to the cave of origin and catching the legendary to your game (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald is a little different).

The submarine is underwater in a cave a little south of Mossdeep City. To dive, you need to beat the 7th gym at Mossdeep city and go to The most north-western house to talk to your friend, and he will give you dive (Read above on how you're able to use it outside of battle (Defeating the gym at Mossdeep city) ).

Also, if you found the submarine, but when you click (A), It does nothing, Dive up. You will be brought to their cave, a kind of "Trick room". It's a quite a challenge, you will need strength and rock smash for it.

I found a submarine underwater, I can't get through... I have beat team magma at mossdeep, and team aqua at lilycove. Where and what part of the submarine do I go through?
