#1 - Cast Away (2002)
FedEx executive Chuck Nolan's plane crashes during a storm en route to an assignment in Malaysia. The sole survivor of the flight Chuck is washed ashore on a desert island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean and is forced to learn how to survive using the remnants of the plane's cargo for the next four years. Chuck is eventually rescued by a cargo plane that spots him drifing on a raft. Upon returning to civilisation Chuck learns that he has long been given up for dead and his wife has moved on.
#2 - The Blue Lagoon (1980)
Seven-year-old cousins Emmeline and Richard Lestrange survive a shipwreck and find themselves marooned on a beautiful island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Under the tutelage of a fellow castaway Paddy Burton the two learn the basics of survival. Paddy cares for the two children and forbids them to go to the other side of the island after he finds the remains of human sacrifices. Shortly after, Paddy dies from a drunken binge and the two children after living on the island for several years eventually reach puberty and fall in love.
#3 - The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977)
After his ship sinks, Andrew Braddock washes ashore on a tropical island owned by Dr. Moreau. While waiting for a ship to return him to civilisation, Braddock becomes disturbed by the strange creatures roaming the island. He then discovers that the creatures are the results of Dr. Moreau's sinister experiments and plots to escape from the island before he himself becomes a victim.
#4 - The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe (1952)
While on a trip to acquire slaves, aristocrat Robinson Crusoe is shipwrecked and finds himself on a remote desert island where he must learn to survive using only a few salvaged supplies and weapons. After discovering that there are cannibals on the island he rescues one of their prospective victims and gains a new friend, Friday. They then build a home on the island to protect themselves from the savages and are stuck there for years before they are eventually rescued.
#5 - Six Days Seven Nights (1998)
Robin Monroe, a New York magazine editor, and pilot Quinn Harris are forced to put aside their mutual dislike for each other if they are to survive after crash landing on a deserted South Seas island. Quinn and Robin quickly discover all the perils of paradise, as the mismatched pair find themselves facing danger at every turn.
