Team Composition

During each and every battle you have - whether in Arcade Mode, Story Mode, or merely an Exhibition Match - you will select three characters from the roster of fighters that you have. The Basic Roster you will begin the game with contains twenty-one different fighters; however, after including all of the Unlockable Characters and DLC Characters, this number could reach up to thirty-two characters to choose from.

The first character you select will be your team's Point, beginning the fight at the point of attack. The second character you select is called your Middle, as it will be the middle fighter of your team that you can thus switch in with. The third and final fighter will be your Anchor, as they are the last character you will have to defeat opposing teams with. Switching is also key in battling, allow you to properly keep your fighters healthy while yet still countering who your opponent is using. The characters you select and where you place them on your team could be the deciding factor within any match.
