Summoners rely on powerful summons to decimate their foes. These summons deal heavy magic damage that can't be stopped by Reflect. They also have the highest MP pool in the game. They favor rods to increase their magic attack damage.
Unlike other magic users, Summoners need to find anchorites or sages that can pass the power of new summons after passing a test. For more details and the summon locations, follow this link.

Red Abilities = These are activated after selecting them in the Abilities menu during a battle
Blue Abilities = These are support abilities that will only take effect after assigning them to a character. If you change to a job whose specialty is the same as the support ability you equipped, it will be removed automatically.

Summoning Amp | 6 | Raise the MP cost of summon magic by 1.25 and raise the damage by 1.25. This can be set at the same time as Max Summoning. |

Summon Substitute | 9 | When you suffer a K.O., a random summon magic that you learned will be invoked without consuming any MP. This effect won't trigger during Reraise or a K.O. caused by poison damage. |

Summoning Surge | 12 | Each time summon magic is used in combat, the damage it does rises by 10%. You don't need to use the same summon magic for this to take effect. |
Summon in Pinch | 13 | When your HP falls below 20%, a random summon magic that you learned will be invoked without consuming any MP. This effect won't trigger by poison damage. |
Amp Friends | 14 | Boost the damage, recovery amount, chance of imparting a status ailment, and number of turns amping/weakening lasts when using Summon Friend. |
