Training Mode
The best way to get to grips with the games control scheme is to play Training mode. This mode not only provides training for you to improve your shooting and passing skills it also allows you to practice penalty shootouts, saves, and free kicks.
Multiplayer Mode
Althrough you cannot earn coins playing Multiplayer mode it is still a good way to improve your skills playing games against other human players.
Stadium
Upgrade your stadium stands whenever possible so you increase the crowd capacity as this will earn you bonus coins in home matches. Coins will also be rewarded when you win a match, your goalkeeper does not concede a goal, number of goals scored by your players, and for completing an Achievement.
Player Position
Make sure that all your players on the team are in their correct positions. You will be able to tell if they are or not by the colour of their icon. If the icon is green your player is in their correct position, if the icon however is red your player will not perform to the best of their ability and you should consider moving them or changing the formation of your team. If need be do trades and transfers in order to make things as green as possible.
Develop Players
You can always train your players in the Player Development section for 50 coins a session. Although this is expensive upgrading your existing players will mean you will not have to transfer in many other players.
Transfer Market
More often than not in the transfer market rare or popular players will go a little above market value. You will find that there are players out there that although are not well known will have a high stat score and will be right for the formation your team plays in.
Defending
When your players are defending and trying to get back possession of the ball use the B button more than the A button. Holding the B button makes a player put pressure on the ball whereas the A button will make the player perform a slide tackle. A mistimed slide tackle can easily result in a yellow card or a warning from the referee.
Shooting
One of the toughest parts of the game is shooting on goal, this takes ball control and being able to stop the indicator at a length that is just right for the goal distance. You will find that you will have more success if you play aggressively and take the ball as close to the gaol as you can before shooting.
Team Captain
Select the option to create a team captain when you are given the choice to either select or create one as this will give you an automatic overall rating of 80 for your created player and you will have flexibility in terms of customisation.
Promotion
The only way you will get promoted to the division above the one you are currently playing in is to finish on top. Failing to do so means you will be playing the next season in the same division.
