Check out our The Elder Scrolls: Blades cheats and tips to find out how you can survive longer in this fantasy world.
Get Extra Cash
Make sure you regularly check your Challenges as they will reward you extra cash when you complete them. Challenges can be found in the 'Quest' menu and will usually involve completing basic actions such as dealing a certain amount of damage. New challenges will not appear until you have cleared the old ones from the menu and your reward must be collected manually by tapping the 'claim' button.
Use Your Shield
Make sure you use your shield in the early game as it is able to negate almost all incoming damage from low-level enemies. If you can time your block just before an opponent strikes it will stagger them allowing you to counter attack or charge up spells that have a long casting time.
Deal More Damage
You will be able to deal a lot more damage if you string successive attacks together. The best way to do this is to hold your phone landscape and attack with both thumbs. Once an attack has finished with one hand, begin your attack with the other. If you keep alternating back and forth you will be able to smash through enemies. In The Elder Scrolls: Blades combos can be extended for more than three hits and will come to an immediate end if you hit an opponents shield, miss an opponent or take damage of any kind. Remember that to get critical stikes you need to make sure you charge attacks until the circle is full.
Healing Spells and Abilities
It is advised that you invest skill points in healing spells and abilities to keep yourself topped up during missions. You will be able to grab health potions during most missions and once you have built an Alchemy Laboratory in your town you will be able to brew your own.
Armour and Weapons
Don't waste your money buying armour and weapons from the Smithy early in the game as you will be able to find much more powerful items in chests. It is more beneficial to save your money and use it for upgrading your town.
Upgrade Your Town
Whenever possible use your resources to upgrade your town. Building shops and houses will raise the level of your town and unlock benefits such as allowing you to upgrade existing buildings to access better gear and unlocking new story quests.
Leave Space for Big Buildings
When rebuilding your town you need to ensure you leave some space for bigger buildings such as an Enchanter's Tower and Workshop that take up two lots in your town rather than one. It is recommended that you leave the space near the town's main gate so you will have easy access to them.
Build Two Smithies
It is advised that once you have the resources you build two Smithies. Doing so will allow you to use one for crafting and upgrades, and the other for selling the weapons you find. Make sure you upgrade these Smithies as soon as possible.
Repair Gear
Keep in mind that gear becomes damaged through use and this will lower its stats. Regularly visit a Smithy to make sure your items are maintained, this will not cost much and you can do a bulk repair of everything at once.
Opening Rare Chests
When you consider that chests scale with your level at the point of unlocking it will be more beneficial if you save any rare chests you may have collected until you reach a point in the game when you are struggling with enemies at your current level before you unlock them.
Opening Silver Chests
Remember that opening chests that are silver or better take hours to unlock. Don't open these chests while you are playing but instead save them for the end of your play sessions so that they unlock in the background. Doing this will enable you to open the wooden chests as you find them during your play session.
Free Daily Item
Even if you are have no intention of spending real money make sure you still visit the store every day so that you can claim a free daily item. This tends to be building materials but every once in a while you will be able to open a chest.
Check out our Free Gems page to find out how you can get them without spending real money.
