Case #1: Where Did Aipom Go?

After the strange disappearance of his father, Harry Goodman, Tim Goodman begins his quest to discover exactly what happened to him. Tim's adventure begins with him entering Ryme City, only to Find a group of Aipom stealing a necklace from a young Girl. While trying to help this Little girl, one of the Aipom will actually Attack Tim and steal his very own map. While accosted by said Aipom, Tim will actually meet Pikachu, the same that Tim has the power to communicate with and who just so happens to be the former Detective partner of his father, Harry. The two ultimately agree to join forces, and it is now up to the two of them to chase down the destructive Aipom and retrieve the stolen piece of jewelry.

After the initial scene of Aipom stealing the goods has completed, you will need to work your way to the right in order to chase down the Aipom. You will quickly Find them rummaging through a food cart, and this is where your first Fast Action Event will begin. Once the food cart has been stopped, the Aipom will scurry ahead, straight up a ladder. There is a lift near the ladder that you, as Tim, will try to use with Pikachu. But after this attempt fails, the Aipom will again get away.

After losing the Aipom once more, it will be up to you to talk with both people and Pokemon to Find out exactly where the Aipom went. If at any time you would like to view the Case you are currently working on and the evidence you have obtained, you can do so at any time by clicking on your Case List on the lower screen of your Nintendo 3DS. (If Pikachu ever needs to talk with you, an icon will appear on your lower screen as well.)

One of the first Pokemon you will be able to interview is Diggersby, which you will need translated through Pikachu. After asking Diggersby a number of questions, you will quickly Find out that there have been a number of Aipom in the City as of late. The woman near Diggersby won't be of much help, but you will learn from her daughter that the necklace that was stolen belonged to her and it just so happened to be the color blue. From there, talk with the woman standing in front of the garage door to a building. She will let you know that an Aipom just so happened to pass her moments before, pointing you in the direction that it was heading, which just so happens was near the bank.

Also in the Main area of the City, you should come across another trainer with their Furfrou. Unfortunately, they will be of absolutely no help to you. From there, you will only have one last person to interview. This man will actually be of great service to you, mentioning how he saw a second Aipom enter Tahnti Park. Since you have no Clue which Aipom is the one who stole the necklace, you will have to search for more evidence, this time in the form of Clues. By the lady standing in front of the garage door, you will Find the Aipom Tail Print that was made with Paint. Near the trainer and his Furfrou, you will find a second Aipom Tail Print, this one having been made with Ketchup.

After finding these two Clues, you will then have to question everyone again to see if they know which Aipom was the one that stole the necklace. By talking with Diggersby once again, you will discover that the Aipom with ketchup on its tail was the one that stole the necklace. This is the same Aipom, which you will then discover by matching the evidence in your Case Notes, that was headed into Tahnti Park.
