While in the air and with an enemy nearby, press A
Allows Dante to step on an enemy. This will reset aerial abilities like double-jump and Aerial evade. Later on once you have the Demon Pull ability, you can pull an enemy to the air and use enemy step to further increase the height of your jump. This is necessary for collecting some collectibles hidden in those high places.
Press RB
This will allow you to roll (on the ground) or dash (in the air) to avoid enemy attacks. You can control the direction of your evasion by using the analog.
Hold RT + Press RB just before getting hit
Using this before an enemy attack connects will grant Dante a short boost of strength, increasing his damage output.

Using this before an enemy attack connects will allow Dante to phase out of danger and appear again at a safe distance and be invulnerable for a few seconds.

Gives Dante an extra push by dashing further forward during a jump. Great for reaching hard to reach areas often containing items and collectibles.

Allows Dante to pull himself towards enemies or lift points.

Follow up a successful angel lift with a timed uppercut that launches enemies in the air. Timing is important to execute the move successfully.

Allows Dante to pull enemies towards him and to pull other objects in Limbo to create walkways, platforms and break down obstacles.

Press (L) ( R ) sticks
Unleashes Dante's hidden power, throwing enemies to the air, slowing time down a bit and regenerating his HP. This allows easier combos to be executed. He can still be damaged however.
